Because Your Love Deserves More Than a Cookie-Cutter Wedding
Close your eyes and imagine this: you walk into a quiet forest clearing. The trees sway gently overhead, sunlight filters through the leaves, and the soft sound of a nearby waterfall dances in the background. There’s no pressure, no timeline to chase, no crowd of people you barely know—just the one you love most, standing by your side, and the people who matter most nearby.
That’s the heart of Fairytale Elope.
We’re not here to recreate a Pinterest-perfect wedding or mimic a scene from a Hallmark movie. We’re here to offer something better: a day that’s real. Intimate. Honest. Beautiful. A celebration that reflects who you are—not what tradition says you’re supposed to do.
Let’s be honest: traditional weddings can feel like a production. They come with pressure, opinions, endless expenses, and stress you never asked for. But elopements? They strip all that away. What’s left is what matters: love, connection, and a moment you’ll never forget.
At Fairytale Elope, we offer a peaceful escape from all that noise. Our venue is tucked into the Sierra Nevada forest—private, natural, and filled with hidden beauty. You might say your vows under the dogwoods, take photos by the waterfall, or swing together under the trees. You can share a picnic with your closest people, toast with something bubbly, or just breathe in the mountain air as newlyweds.
Our elopements are designed to be easy. You book the space and your time, and we provide the backdrop, the beauty, and the photos to remember it all. Want a few flowers? A musician? A cake to cut under the trees? We’ll help guide you—but there’s no pressure to add more than what feels right for you.
This is about choosing joy over stress. Nature over banquet halls. Presence over performance.
Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering of your favorite people, your elopement can be the most beautiful, personal, and unforgettable day of your life. And it doesn’t have to cost a fortune or come with a planning binder.
Because love doesn’t need a stage. It just needs space to breathe.
Let’s create your storybook moment—no drama, no pressure, just magic.

Nature is our venue—and she has her own rhythm. That means no two elopements at Fairytale Elope are ever quite the same. We open each year in spring and close when the first snowfall makes the forest quiet and still.
In early spring, dogwoods bloom beneath soft light, and our iris gardens fill with color. As summer arrives, you’ll find sunflowers turning their golden faces toward the sun, along with patches of wildflowers blooming in quiet corners of the woods. And in autumn, the leaves turn fiery shades of gold and crimson, creating a breathtaking backdrop for your vows.
The waterfall flows year-round, shifting with the seasons but always offering its song. Whether you’re drawn to the softness of spring or the golden glow of fall, each season brings its own kind of magic.
We like to think of Fairytale Elope as a setting for an adventure, a forest with damsels splashing through creeks, a place to get lost and find yourself. While we provide the setting, the space, and the photography, you’re welcome to bring in your own vendors, stylists, or creative touches to personalize your ceremony.
We simply ask that anyone joining you here—whether a florist, an officiant, or a musician—respects the land, follows our simple guidelines, and is licensed and insured. As long as their work aligns with the spirit of this place—peaceful, respectful, and grounded in nature—we’re happy to welcome them.
Because we don’t serve food on-site, couples are welcome to bring their own picnic-style meals, book a dinner at a local restaurant, or hire outside catering that fits the low-impact nature of the space. And when it comes to vendors, we do things a little differently.
We don’t take kickbacks or commissions. If we recommend someone, it’s because we’ve seen them show up with kindness, professionalism, and care for our couples—not because they’re paying us to say nice things.
You’re always welcome to ask us for local recommendations—we’re happy to point you toward people we trust to treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
One of the things that makes Fairytale Elope truly special is that there’s no single ceremony site—because love isn’t one-size-fits-all. You get to choose the place that speaks to your heart, whether that’s beside flowing water, under a canopy of trees, or surrounded with flowers.
You might stand on the rocks within the waterfall, letting the mist catch the light as you exchange vows. Or maybe you’ll choose the shallow reflection pools of the creek, where your feet are grounded and the water mirrors your moment. The forest clearing above the falls offers a quiet, woodsy feel—with just enough open sky to let the light in.
For something sweeping and unforgettable, the hilltop overlook offers panoramic views that stretch across the state—on a clear day, you can see the Sierra Mountains, the valley below, and even hints of the coast. It’s a breathtaking spot, especially at sunset.
Prefer something soft and floral? Choose from our seasonal flower gardens—iris in spring, sunflowers in summer, wildflowers scattered in between. Or, if whimsy calls to you, swing into your new life together on our ceremonial rope swing—a joyful, playful spot that’s become a favorite for couples who want to marry with a little laughter in the air.
Wherever you choose to stand, you’ll be surrounded by beauty, held by nature, and grounded in something real.
At Fairytale Elope, love is love—and everyone with love in their hearts is welcome here. We proudly embrace and celebrate LGBTQ+ couples, people of color, neurodivergent individuals, and those of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. This is a place for joy, for connection, and for honoring love in all its beautiful forms.
Our venue is located on the side of a mountain, which means the land is naturally rugged and wild. Some spots—like the waterfall or the creek—require a bit of adventure to reach. That said, if you or someone in your party has mobility needs or accessibility concerns, please let us know as early as possible. With thoughtful planning, we can find the best location for your ceremony—often the hilltop overlook or one of the flower gardens, which may offer more accessible options depending on the season.
We’re happy to help find the right space that works for you. At the end of the day, communication is key, and we’re here to make sure your elopement is not only beautiful, but also comfortable, safe, and welcoming for everyone involved.
